Leadership and Life Skills Development

Empowering Youth and Young Adults through Leadership and Life Skills Development

At BMYI, our Leadership and Life Skills Development programs are designed to empower Black men and youth, particularly those aged 18-25, to become confident, responsible individuals ready for adulthood. These programs focus on teaching essential skills such as decision-making, goal setting, inter and intra-personal communication, and emotional intelligence. By equipping participants with these critical skills, we prepare them for career readiness and active community involvement, fostering a new generation of leaders.

  • Decision-Making and Goal Setting: We guide participants in honing their decision-making abilities and setting clear, achievable goals that align with their personal and professional aspirations.

  • Interpersonal and Intra-Personal Communication: Participants develop strong communication skills, learning how to effectively express themselves and understand others, which is crucial for both personal relationships and professional environments.

  • Emotional Intelligence: Our programs emphasize the importance of emotional intelligence, teaching participants to recognize and manage their emotions, as well as empathize with others, to build stronger relationships and lead effectively.

  • Mentorship and Leadership Workshops: BMYI offers mentorship programs and leadership workshops that provide participants with practical experience and guidance from accomplished leaders. These initiatives prepare participants for leadership roles in their careers and communities.

BMYI is committed to building and supporting well-rounded, capable individuals who are equipped to lead with confidence and integrity.
